Thank you for visiting our website. The Blackwater Macedonia Church of Christ is a body of Christians who strive to worship God in spirit and in truth. The church here is God centered, and deeply rooted in the teachings found in God's Word. We try everyday to live as the Bible teaches we should, with no additions or subtractions. Our wish is to speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent.
We assemble on the first day of every week to worship God according to the pattern found in the New Testament. If you come here, you will find: An observation of the Lord's Supper upon the first day of every week (Acts 20:7). The singing of songs without mechanical instruments (Ephesians 5:19: Colossians 3:16). Prayers to God through our mediator Jesus Christ (Matthew 6:9; 1 Timothy 2:15). Giving to God cheerfully, according to what we prosper (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8). Strong emphasis on Bible preaching and teaching (2 Timothy 2:2; 2 Timothy 4:2).
We are dedicated to carrying the Gospel of Christ to those who are lost, as commanded by Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 15:15-16). Again, thank you so much for your interest in our website. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding our congregation here, or if you would like to get to know us better. It is our hope and prayer that you may be able to come and visit with us. You will be treated as an honored guest! We hope to see you soon!
First of all, due to the continuing spread of the COVID-19, the Elders want to encourage anyone that is sick, has an underlying health condition or feels it best for your family, to stay home during this time of uncertainty. We will give some details below on how you can continue to worship.
Secondly, in order to reduce exposure as much as possible and continue to have services, we will have 2 separate but identical services on Sunday morning. To keep it simple, we will split up into two age groups.
For the 50 and older group, we will have a short service at 9:30 Sunday morning.
For the 50 and younger group, we will have a short service at 10:30. (Please do not come into the building until 10:20. This will give us time to clean some parts of the building following the first service.)
For both services please practice “social distancing”. With the numbers reduced there should be room for everyone to spread out and maintain a safer distance. At a minimum, leave one row in between families. We will have the Lord Supper items available as you enter the auditorium and we will conduct the Lords Supper at the beginning of service.
For those that wish to stay at home, we will stream the 10:30 service on Facebook live under the Blackwater page. We will have Lord Supper items available to pick up at the building on Saturday from 10am till 2pm. You can pull to the front door and someone will bring it out to you. You can leave your contribution at this time or pick up an envelope to mail your contribution.
These changes will start Sunday March 22 until April 5th. Please remember these are temporary changes and we will return to normal as soon as it is safe to do so. The information is constantly changing so these arrangements are subject to change on short notice so please be patient with us as we work through this issue. We will do our best to keep you informed.
If you need assistance or need to make other arrangements please contact the Elders, Deacons or Ben.
